Post Office/Central Receiving

What are the hours of operation for both the Post office and Central Receiving?

The operating hours are from 8AM until 4PM each day with exception of University Holidays and weekends.

What address do I use to have materials delivered?

All materials being ordered should be addressed to:

West Virginia University Health Sciences Center
One Medical Center Drive
Morgantown, WV 26506

What happens when my materials are delivered to Health Sciences Central Receiving?

Central Receiving personnel check material packaging for damages, if none are visible; the materials are logged in and delivered to the department noted on packing slip. It is the department’s responsibility to check the items for internal damages and to contact vendor of any noted problems. Also if the wrong materials were not delivered or need returned the department will make arrangements with the vendor and Central Receiving will assist as needed.

What kinds of items cannot be shipped/received?

Any general items may be shipped or mailed following normal processes. However, if you have a specialty item that may or may not need special attention they could fall under DOT guidelines. Our staff is available to answer any questions you may have or provide guidance as necessary to be in compliance.

How do I send something UPS or FED EX?

Departments are expected to maintain necessary shipping items as supplied by the vendor. However, if you need assistance with packaging or have questions our staff will assist you. We do maintain some minimal inventory of packing materials and can assist when necessary.

Who do I contact if I have additional questions?

Cathy Patterson at 293-6924
